| Daily Wisdom by Raventalker 2-1-2008 Last night I was watching a new show called “The Good Witch” .. it was nice. Portrayed witches as just people who help others more than themselves and who understand the magic of life itself. It also showed how quickly witches are attacked just because they are a little different and how they are shunned by communities who don’t understand and don’t care to understand they just attack because they are not like everyone else. At one point in the movie the witchy lady was sitting with the love interest and and he says to her .. “You always seem to give people what they need when they need it” and then he says to her … “what is it you need?” LOL.. at that point I knew this was make-believe!!! LOL But wouldn’t it be nice for others to actually think of someone other than themselves and ask that question to more people more often… wouldn’t it? sigh…………… I guess us witchy folk are on our own on this one..lol Daily Wisdom by Raventalker 2-4-2008 Why did the witch keep turning people into Mickey Mouse? I shall explore all the wonders of not only life here on Earth but in the spirit world as well … Most important I shall explore all the wonders of me and I shall celebrate. I shall swim the rivers within and splash around in all that I am and I shall celebrate. I shall walk the many paths of me and frolic in the essence of self and I shall celebrate. For I am worth celebrating.. even if no other cares - I care and I celebrate me. All life is sacred and should be celebrated and I shall not be left out for I am worthy! This life is mine and I shall dance .. I shall celebrate. You’ll be glad you did later on down the road! Not all is what it seems to be … even in your dreams… by keeping a record you will uncover the true meaning and the message being sent to you. Many Blessings, Raventalker Daily Wisdom by Raventalker 2-13-2008 Today’s wisdom isn’t wisdom at all I reckon…LOL.. I want to share with you a dream I had last night.. very odd and jumbled up it seems and then again not really jumbled… let’s see if together we can sort out some meaning… Dream~ This is one of those dreams with many parts .. you know the type that seems to flow from one dream and then another completely different dream …. But never ending one dream before going to the next scene .. The first part I recall is someone has come to me asking for a crystal (or some sort of magical tool) for some reason I feel it was stone or crystal like.. anyway .. I tell them I have to go to this specific place to get this crystal… and I tell them where it is.. I first go and I have someone with me.. feels like a partner .. but really a shadow self /spiritual partner ….. we go to this lake … in this dream this portion of lake is just down the road past the road that takes you to Chester Frost lake.. this portion of the lake seems like a secret .. a secret/hidden entrance .. I had to walk through woods to get to the edge of the lake and the water was so clear and beautiful.. a beautiful emerald color .. just amazingly beautiful and felt very sacred/magical…. At the waters edge is where these special stones/crystals can be found. I find what I need and take back the stone/crystal to the person asking for it and then share with them the secret of how to get there . My dream then takes a turn onto something else and it always seems water is on the edge of the dream .. I’m guessing this has some sort of emotional tie to it then… anyway… My husband and I run into this guy .. this guy is some sort of RICH powerful guy here in Chattanooga … I know who this guy is as a company I use to work at years ago use to work with him.. but I can’t think of his name.. anyway … he wants me to do some painting for him.. one painting is a huge very old painting he wants me to touchup.. and the other are two custom paintings.. but he asks me to give him a discount.. lol.. even though he’s rich .. I explain to my husband that’s how he got so much money by being careful with it and not overspending … in this portion of the dream I reckon we were suppose to meet up with others to go see a movie and it started at a particular time.. but this rich guy wanted me to come get the painting right away .. and I was discussing if I had time before meeting the others for the movie and decided I had better get the paintings no matter what if I wanted that job…lol.. I could see the mans house as it was on the lake and it was massive and beautiful… My dream then goes on to now I am floating around in the water on some sort of floating something …lol… with these people.. they were a black couple.. very nice and also had lots of money .. we were friends or at least very friendly …. I say that because it seemed as though we had just met and hadn’t known each other very long … anyway as we are floating around in the water on this thing .. we were watching one of their young sons.. a boy about 5 years old and they had him counting for some reason and they were so proud of him but the kid couldn’t even count to 10 properly ..lol.. and I was like are you insane.. he can’t even count to 10… what’s wrong with you two that you can’t see that’s not right…lol.. I wasn’t mad and neither were they .. it was just confusing.. Next part of the dream now has me in my mothers house.. ewwww and yuck! My mom has lots of dogs in her house and it’s never clean and it smells horrible.. in my dream her house was quite a bit larger than it really is and it was clean just cluttered and still smelled.. I was there doing something .. creating some project with art work I had done in the past .. I was organizing it as a gift to someone… a cousin of mine that I haven’t seen in years .. comes to the door .. she comes in and comments how nice the house is and I look at her thinking .. can’t you smell how bad it is! Anyway … she comes in and I show her my project buy something went wrong and it all dissolved in the box and turned to water!! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Ok now what do you make of all that!!!???!! Earlier today I wrote down “The Star” and then above it wrote “The Star within” So I set off to do a little searching for info on the Star… and this is the very first thing I came to… Maybe it's odd to think of the Star as having a power other than just as a point of concentration in, say, meditation. Yet there is some point in saying that it does. Thinking of the Star, first of all, gives each of us the feeling that we are shining with light. Actually, shining beings - each of us. In this state we feel secure but free, and can be more loving, more accepting of other people. Not only that. By associating ourselves with the Star symbol, we are thinking of ourselves at the simplest, finest, level. As nothing but light, in fact. And just as the demonstration of our loving nature, even just a smile to a passer-by, can brighten other people's lives - can totally alter the course of a day for them - so letting the Starlight shine from our hearts has a way of touching them inwardly. You won't exert any controlling power over other people by letting your Starlight shine to them. It's not like that. But you may well bring healing to them in their pain, and you may well even help them to turn around the course of an illness they are suffering. Try it and see. Go on, if you would like, to the Healing Page. The six-pointed star is actually a very old symbol, and it's not linked to any particular religion in history. Different people have described it in different ways, but one of them is to think of it as composed of two triangles. One points upward, and symbolises all our hopes and aspirations. The other points downward, and symbolises the light that comes to us, like grace. The two completely joined with no divisions, symbolises perfect balance. It means balance between the gifts of life and our gift to life. Daily Wisdom by Raventalker 2-14-2008 Today is Valentine’s Day …. Share some love! This can be a hard time for some… when times are hard or when you don’t have a significant other in your life .. this can be a very hard day to make it through. To see so many out buying gifts and sending sweet words of love … Try to share a bit of love and happiness with those around you …. Even if it’s just an email to say “Happy V Day!” You just never know who might have really needed that email or that thought .. you never know how much it might have meant to someone going through a tough time. If you are one of those out there going through one of those tough times … this message is for you… “Happy Valentine’s Day!” know that I send to you warm wishes and lots of hugs …. Love is coming to you so please please smile and don’t be so blue. Someone is thinking of you! For everyone else… spread as much love as you can and watch and be amazed at the love that comes back! Many Blessings, Raventalker Daily Wisdom by Raventalker 2-15-2008 I’m inspired today to give you information on The Dove The dove is the embodiment of maternal instinct. She is connected to Mother Earth and her creative energies. Her mournful call speaks to our deepest self and stirs our emotions. The voice of the dove is a rain song and brings us hope of a new beginning. The dove is the totem of "Between Times" and shows us the time of the thinning of the veils between the physical and the spiritual world. Listen for her call with your soul. Oh how easily we forget who we are… Forgetting Who We Are Life comes at us non-stop and it’s so very easy to forget who we are. We get wrapped up in doing things.. things to survive … things to get by… things for others.. things things things… We can lose sight of ourselves in our need to get “things” done and our need to help others .. or even our need to make others happy .. we forget about ourselves and who we are and what we want or need and if we are happy. The message today is clear … notice I didn’t say easy…LOL… Don’t forget about YOU and what you need/want Don’t forget that YOU also should be happy. Many Blessings, Raventalker Daily Wisdom by Raventalker 2-18-2008 Learning from our dreams…. Our dreams can show us many things and help us in many ways. As I’ve said before it helps to write down your dreams as often as possible… One can interpret a dream in many ways… one dream told to a group of people will be translated into many different meanings.. what you need to take into account with YOUR dream is what relates to YOU. It is also good to hear other points of view.. someone else may shed some light that you might never think of and it may relate perfectly. That being said… you may also hear many other views and none of them may sound or feel right to you… ”Things” all have basic, general meanings behind them … and many folks will give you just that …. But take your dream as a whole and think of it more as a road map or a puzzle… take into account everything in your dream…. Having all the information laid out in front of you and looking at it in this way will help piece it all together. I’ll now share with you a snippet of a dream I had last night and how “I” interpret it. There were many big tents set up and in each tent were groups of people set up in a trade show fashion. I was a guide taking people on tours through the tents. As I was taking one group through one of the tents I found that they were afraid of one section… so I followed them into that section of the tent… (I shouldn’t have done this .. I was to be only a guide) I then found myself sucked into their (life/dream/fears, etc) … Much more went on in the dream but no need to give all that detail.. the important part is that I saw clearly the purpose.. for me anyway .. the message was clear For those who are to be guides… be careful not to get yourself sucked in to those lives you are guiding.. your job is simply to show the way .. do not cross the line …keep yourself just outside their path .. pointing the way for them. You are the traffic director .. you are not to drive their cars for them…lol To others this dream may have been about the fears in the dream or it may have been about the people they met on the way .. or maybe it would have been about navigating through life… but for me it was about being the guide.
